our story
Founded by a trio of coffee lovers (two friends and a mother), Café Clementina is the café of our dreams. It's a space where our creativity, values, and community collide. We envisioned a cozy haven where exceptional coffee and home-made pastries, baked with flavours that excite us, would come together in a vibrant community space, all while paying homage to our co-founder's Honduran heritage. We take special pride in showcasing the rich, nuanced flavours of Honduran coffee alongside traditional Honduran foods - offering our guests both familiar comforts and exciting new discoveries in every cup and bite. We're more than just a café, we're a deliberately welcoming space—for women, queer folks, and everyone in between—where inspiration is brewed as carefully as our espresso.
Our dream for Café Clementina is woven together with the talents of our incredible partners. We are proud to work with local Canadian makers, bakers, and artisans who share our values of quality and community. This means sourcing our exceptional coffee from small-scale Honduran farms, serving it in mugs made by Kitchener-based ceramicists, and featuring matcha from a small-business in Vancouver. It even extends to the essential services we rely on, like our lovely local waste management company. Each and every partner makes us who we are.
